Over the years, I’ve been asked to support hundreds of charities. While many of them are fine organizations with admirable missions, the only thing I can think of worse than losing a child is losing a child when it could have been prevented.
St. Jude’s has a phenomenal success rate, curing over 90% of the young victims of certain types of cancer. Even more impressive is the fact that 100% of the funds they receive, after expenses, go directly to the cause. For these reasons, I have joined Jennifer Anniston, Robin Williams, and many others in supporting St. Jude’s.
My goal is an ambitious and bold one. I have no idea when or if we will reach it. But as Confucius said, even the longest journey starts with the first step.
